(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Scores of Palestinians participated on Friday afternoon in a massive rally called for by the Movements of Hamas and Islamic Jihad in northern Gaza in protest at US secretary of state John Kerry's peace plan and the negotiations between the Palestinian Authority (PA) and the Israeli occupation.

In two separate speeches, Hamas official Mushir Al-Masri and Islamic Jihad official Khader Habib, reiterated their movements' rejection of Kerry's plan and the PA's persistence in its negotiation and security cooperation with the Israeli occupation.

Masri stated in his speech that the Palestinian people throughout the world support the resistance and say no to the negotiation approach.

He stressed that the Palestinian people is united around the resistance option, but the negotiations that emerged in the 1970s of the last century split up the Palestinian position and unity.

The Hamas official added that the negotiations only represent a limited group of the Palestinian people, who usurped the Palestinian cause and took it far away in order to serve their personal interests and protect their posts.

For his part, Islamic Jihad official Khader Habib said that Kerry's plan targets the right of return, Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque and offers the Palestinian people a misshapen state with no sovereignty.

He described the US administration as biased in favor of the occupation and an accomplice in its crimes against the Palestinian people.
